Österreichische Europameister in der Doppelsitzerklasse!!!

Wolfgang Janowitsch und Andreas Lutz sind Europameister in der Doppelsitzerklasse. Ein kurzer Bericht über die Teilnahme in Ostrow/Polen von Wolfgang Janowitsch: "Andreas Lutz, ein junger Konstrukteur von Schempp-Hirth, und erfolgreicher Wettbewerbspilot in der 15m-Klasse, und ich haben dort mit unserem neuen Arcus M, D-KTWO, „TWO“, teilgenommen. Das Flugzeug wurde nur wenige Tage vor Beginn des Wettbewerbs ausgeliefert. Bei 3 Flügen von meinem Heimatflugplatz Wr.Neustadt/West hatte ich noch Gelegenheit alle Systeme und Instrumente zu testen. Nach einigen Trainingsflügen in Ostrow, begann der Wettbewerb für uns sehr erfreulich: Tagessieg zum Einstand. Die Schlüsselstelle war ..." [rent-a-glider.com]

Inspecting Antique Gliders

The first of these is to insure, in the case of aircraft in the Type Certified category, that they still meet the requirements of condition as when they were originally issued their Type Certificate. Small-airplane revitalization bill soars in House

"The U. S. House of Representatives has unanimously passed a bill to revitalize the general aviation industry by setting the ground rules—and a deadline—for the FAA as it updates small-aircraft certification regulations. The regulatory modernization, guided by industry recommendations, could speed the aircraft certification process, lowering the cost of bringing new aircraft designs to market and upgrading older aircraft. ..." Vor 50 Jahren in Wr. Neustadt West

Peter Kuncic: "Vor 50 Jahren fand in Wr. Neustadt West der erste zentrale Wettbewerb des LV Wien's statt. Pro Flugzeug durften bis zu 3 Piloten genannt werden. Gewertet wurde das Flugzeug. Rudi Fiala gelang, so glaube ich mich recht zu erinnern, der erste 300 km Flug ex Wr. Neustadt. Man wollte auch mittels der Tagesaufgaben die Möglichkeit erkunden und fördern von Wr.
