1000km from Belgium to the Spanish Border

"Inspired by the legendary flight of Hans-Werner Grosse 40 years before, I achieved a 1000km straight distance flight from Belgium, over Viersen to the Spanish border, with landing in Mimizan. This turned out to be 2 Belgian Records, and my FAI 1000km Diploma (the first such diploma flown from Belgium). Since 2012 I have been ready each year for improving this performance. On only one occasion it was possible to equal it, but not surpass it as the Pyrenees were covered in rain. So unfortunately, this type of weather is more rare than I had hoped for, which makes me appreciate this flight even more." [aboutgliding.com]
